This is the third addition to my Mac collection This is an iBook G3 Second Generation from 2003 I originally got it with a common iBook G3/G4 video card problem where it would boot up to either a blank or garbled screen This is because the iBook graphics chips were soldered onto the logic board poor

ibook g4 repair
i bought this broken ibook for like $20 and i was tinkering with it when i noticed that the main idle chip was not on properly and would only run when the heat sink was pushed so i broke off the flimsy bolt like thing and put a real bolt in the heat sink and tightened it till the heat sync was touch
